About Mira

Mira Ashford writes cozy mysteries set in small towns where the kitchens are warm, the snow is deep, and the murders are — by the careful arithmetic of the genre — never as far from the spice cabinet as one might hope.

The Cardamom & Co. Mysteries follow Asha Iyer, a pastry chef from Madras who has, by the unlikely grace of one Vermont winter, found herself running a spice and pastry shop on a town green in Vermont.

A Pinch of Murder is the first novel in the series. The second, A Grain of Salt, is forthcoming.

Mira lives between two kitchens and reads, by preference, in the slow hour before dinner.
